"Even as you try to cut out the extra commitments, sisters, find some time for yourself to cultivate your gifts and interests. Pick one or two things that you would like to learn or do that will enrich your life, and make time for them. Water cannot be drawn from an empty well, and if you are not setting aside a little time for what replenishes you, you will have less and less to give to others, even to your children. Avoid any kind of substance abuse, mistakenly thinking that it will help you accomplish more. And don't allow yourself to be caught up in the time-wasting, mind-numbing things like television soap operas or surfing the Internet. Turn to the Lord in faith, and you will know what to do and how to do it."

-Elder M. Russell Ballard
April General Conference 2008

I read this on someone else's blog.. And it was very.. insightful and helpful..

I've learned over the months now that I need to take some time and do things for me, and it will also benefit my family. I have so many things I'm interested in, art, photography, piano, (learn to) sew, scrapbooking, and excersise just to name the few haha. I would love to get into at least a few of these .. And just indulge. The one I most currently want to indulge in...photography. Yes. I love it. Whenever I'm out with Beck at the park or with my nephews and niece, I always think (or sometimes might say) "That'd be a good picture... " Well jeeez maybe I should do something about it and take that picture :)

I sure am gettin on the ball with this blogging again though huh.. Whew.. 2 posts in one day! ... I'm gettin a little overexcited haha.
